Transitioning from master's studies to researching environmental politics by Ville Tapani Haapanen (MA in Politics and Governance in the Digital Age)

Ville Tapani Haapanen is a first-year political science doctoral student at the Johan Skytte Institute, University of Tartu. He graduated from the Politics and Governance in the Digital Age master's programme in 2022. His work focuses on environmental politics and parties in Central and Eastern Europe.

Ville will talk about his experience studying at the University of Tartu. He will discuss the transition to doctoral studies and working at the Johan Skytte institute, how the programme prepared him for this work, and about life as a doctoral student and junior researcher.
