Learning about China from Chinese social media by Binghua Liu (MA in Contemporary Asian and Middle Eastern Studies)

Binghua Liu is an international student from China currently working on her second master's degree at the University of Tartu. She loves travelling and learning about different cultures. She came to study at the University of Tartu in 2019 and worked in an Estonian supply chain company after graduation.

Binghua has always been interested in entrepreneurship and the difference between Asian cultures and other regions. Her thesis research focused on social media content analysis in Chinese social media platforms. She wished her research could provide more general information about the current situation of Chinese social media.

The Contemporary Asian and Middle Eastern Studies master's programme is suitable for anyone looking for programmes related to culture and politics. The programme is a mix of different topics from language, culture and politics.
