Symbolic artificial intelligence at Pipedrive by Bruno Rucy Carneiro (MSc in Computer Science)

Bruno Rucy is currently working as a DevOps Engineer at Pipedrive. Originally from Brazil, he first came to Estonia to study at TalTech and then went to Tartu to get a research-oriented MSc in Computer Science.

In this webinar, he will go over his experience studying at the University of Tartu while working full-time and how the research experience acquired contributed to one of the most successful projects he has had. The main topic will be how he used deep logic programming to scale policy enforcement across code repositories.

According to Bruno, the master's programme in Computer Science is the only opportunity in Estonia for a person to fix the vast majority of their knowledge holes. The difference between the people who work at the most reputable companies and those elsewhere is that the ones who do so in the former not only understand the nuances of the craft but are also acquainted with a relevant theoretical background. Attending a university is not the only way to get there, as passion goes a long way, but it is a sure one.
